Every B2B startup has the same growth channel sitting unused on day one: their team's LinkedIn networks. Most of them never activate it. We're fixing that.
The problem
Cold outbound is how startups grow at scale, but it has a brutal conversion rate. Meanwhile, every team member quietly carries a few hundred high-relevance LinkedIn connections — former coworkers, college friends, conference acquaintances, design-partner candidates — that would convert at 5–10× the rate of a cold contact list. Asking each employee "do you know anyone we should talk to?" works once, then evaporates. Referral programs get gamed. The asset goes unused.
The Gimmes premise
A new hire's network is a goldmine that traditional referral programs leave untouched because asking employees "do you know anyone?" is high-friction. Gimmes makes it zero-friction by automating discovery, drafting outreach with AI, and sending on the employee's behalf.
How it works
- One company holds the Happenstance API key. Employees never manage credentials. They join the company's HPN group via a 1-click Chrome extension and their LinkedIn connections pool into the team's searchable network.
- AI reads your website to draft your ICP. Onboarding takes 30 seconds — paste your URL, the agentic sweep proposes BD search queries, recruiting queries, resources to weave into outreach, and a promo offer. You review and approve.
- Every match routes to the right sender. When a contact comes up in the search, we identify which teammate is a direct mutual and route the outreach to them. The email goes out from the actual person who knows them — not a generic "hi from the team" form.
- Every closed deal credits the right employee. Each teammate gets a unique promo code embedded in their outreach. When a prospect redeems, the deal auto-closes, attribution is unambiguous, and the workspace dashboard shows revenue-per-email-sent in real time.
